What is Asatru? |
Asatru is the original tribal native religious belief for our ancestors who lived in what is now Scandinavia, England, Germany, France, the Netherlands and other Northern European countries. Our ancestors did not use the word Asatru, which roughly means "belief in the Gods". The religious beliefs were an inseparable part of the everyday life of the people. Asatru is far older than Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, and most other religions. It is as ancient as the European peoples themselves are - at least 40,000 years. About Yule |
